01 — Brief

Explaining the unexplainable

Enterprise software that genuinely simplifies device management — and needs to prove it inside the compressed window of attention a decision-maker will give to any piece of marketing content.

EMMlyt is an enterprise Mobile Device Management platform built on a fundamentally simple proposition: one interface for every company-owned device, replacing the fragmented patchwork of tools that IT teams have historically relied on. The product is logically compelling — but communicating that logic clearly to an audience of administrators and business decision-makers who may not be deeply technical is a separate challenge entirely. A data sheet tells a buyer what the product does. A well-made product explainer video shows them.

This project followed directly from First Launch's brand identity work for EMMlyt. With the brand system established, the brief was to produce an animated product explainer video that could translate EMMlyt's core capabilities — unified device control, centralised access, single-platform management — into a format that would work on the website, in sales outreach, at investor meetings, and across digital advertising simultaneously. The brief demanded technical credibility and real watchability in equal measure.

02 — Approach

Making abstract logic visible

A four-phase production pipeline — from narrative structure to motion delivery — designed to keep every frame on-brand and every second purposeful.

01
Script & Narrative
The narrative was built around EMMlyt's core proposition: establish the pain of fragmented device management, demonstrate the logic of unified control, and make the value self-evident. The script was structured to be technically credible for IT administrators while remaining immediately compelling for business decision-makers who control the purchasing decision. Every second of attention had to earn its place — vagueness and filler had none.
02
Asset Design
All visual assets were produced in Adobe Illustrator, derived directly from the EMMlyt brand identity system. Typography, colour, graphic style, and icon language were drawn from the same design foundation — ensuring the explainer video looked like it belonged to the brand rather than a separately commissioned piece of content that had been reconciled to it after the fact.
03
Motion & Animation
Animation was produced in Adobe After Effects using a motion design language built directly from the brand system. Device management is an inherently visual concept — multiple devices, one control point, data flowing between them — that animation represents cleanly and intuitively. Motion made the abstract logic of the product visible in a way that interface screenshots never could.
04
Delivery & Distribution
The final video was hosted on Vimeo for reliable, high-quality embedding across web, sales outreach, digital advertising, and investor presentations. A single deliverable, immediately deployable across every channel EMMlyt needed — doing the work of a live product demonstration for every prospect who will never attend one.

What the production covered

A complete animated explainer — built to brand, built to last, and ready to deploy across every channel from day one.

01
Animated Explainer, Start to Finish
Full production from brief to final delivery — script, design, animation, and output. No handoff gaps, no visual discontinuity between phases. One team, one cohesive result.
02
Motion Graphics in After Effects
Animation produced in Adobe After Effects with a motion design language built from EMMlyt's brand system — consistent with the visual identity at every frame, not just the opening sequence.
03
Brand-Native Asset Design
All illustrations and graphic assets produced in Adobe Illustrator, derived from the EMMlyt brand identity. The video looks like it belongs to the brand because it was built from the same foundation — not retrofitted to it.
04
Script & Narrative Structure
Narrative built around EMMlyt's core proposition — unified device control — structured to be technically credible for IT audiences and clearly compelling for business decision-makers who hold the purchasing authority.
05
Vimeo Hosting & Distribution
Final video hosted on Vimeo for high-quality, reliable embedding across the website, sales outreach, digital advertising, presentations, and investor materials — deployable simultaneously across all five from day one.
06
Sequential Brand Continuity
The second of two consecutive deliverables — brand identity first, then explainer video. The sequencing ensured every visual element in the video was directly derived from the established brand system, not produced in parallel and reconciled later.
Motion graphics allowed the abstract logic of the product to be made visible — and for an enterprise MDM platform, that visibility is the difference between a prospect who understands and one who moves on.

  • A product explainer video is an animated or live-action video that communicates what a product does, how it works, and why it matters — in a format that holds attention far longer than a data sheet or feature list. For enterprise technology brands, the stakes are higher: decision-makers need to understand a complex proposition quickly, and a well-made explainer does the work of a live product demonstration for every prospect who will never attend one. It works on the website, in sales emails, at investor meetings, and across digital advertising simultaneously — a single piece of content that replaces several.
  • First Launch produces motion graphics and animation using Adobe After Effects for animation and motion design, and Adobe Illustrator for asset creation and illustration. This combination allows a brand's visual identity to carry directly into the video — ensuring every frame is consistent with the brand system rather than looking like a separately produced piece of content. For EMMlyt, every asset in the explainer was derived from the same design system as the logo and brand collateral.
  • Sequencing matters strategically. A product explainer video produced before a brand identity is established risks visual inconsistency — or requires a full rebuild once the identity is finalised. By completing the EMMlyt brand identity first, First Launch ensured that every visual element in the explainer video — colour, typography, graphic style, and motion language — was directly derived from and consistent with the established brand system. The result is a video that looks like it belongs to the brand because it was built from the same foundation.
  • A well-produced product explainer video is one of the highest-leverage pieces of content in a B2B marketing toolkit because it works across multiple channels simultaneously: embedded on the product homepage or landing page, used in sales email outreach, shown at investor and partner presentations, deployed in digital advertising, and embedded in pitch decks. One video, five channels, no additional production cost per use.
  • The most effective enterprise product explainers establish the problem first — making the viewer feel the friction of the current situation — before demonstrating the solution in a way that is visually clear and narratively satisfying. First Launch structures scripts to be technically credible for IT and product audiences while remaining immediately compelling for business decision-makers who may not be deeply technical. The goal is a script that earns every second of attention it asks for, with no filler and no vagueness.
  • Yes. While First Launch is headquartered in Bangalore, the agency works with B2B technology brands, enterprise software companies, and startups across India. Product explainer videos, motion graphics, and animated brand content are delivered for clients in any location. The production process — scripting, design, animation, and review — works entirely remotely without any reduction in quality or turnaround time.
