SEO Executive

Bangalore In-Office

First Launch is looking for an SEO Associate to join a young & dynamic team. As an SEO Associate, you’ll learn and practice SEO on real client websites from day one. You’ll help with audits, keyword research, on-page optimization, content briefs, and reporting, working alongside our SEO, content, and web development teams.

We aren’t looking for someone who has memorized SEO jargon. We are looking for someone curious enough to find out why a page ranks or doesn’t, and willing to dig until they can explain it.

What You’ll Do

  • Run keyword research: find what target audiences are searching for, group keywords by intent, and prioritize by opportunity.
  • Carry out on-page optimization: title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, image alt text, and content structure.
  • Support technical SEO audits: crawl sites, spot issues like broken links, redirect chains, duplicate content, indexing problems, and slow pages, and document fixes for the dev team.
  • Write content briefs for writers, covering target keywords, search intent, structure, and competitor gaps.
  • Research competitors to see what’s working for them and where the gaps are.
  • Help with off-page efforts such as link-building outreach, citations, and digital PR research.
  • Track rankings, traffic, and conversions using Google Search Console, GA4, and SEO tools.
  • Prepare monthly client reports that explain what changed, why, and what’s next, in plain language.
  • Keep up with algorithm updates and search changes, including AI-driven search results.

What We’re Looking For

Must have

  • A working understanding of how search engines crawl, index, and rank pages.
  • Strong written English. You’ll be writing briefs, reports, and page copy.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets (sorting, filtering, basic formulas, pivot tables are a plus).
  • Attention to detail. SEO is often won or lost on small things.
  • Curiosity and persistence: you research, test, and don’t stop at the first answer.

Good to have

  • Hands-on SEO experience: a personal blog, a college project, freelance work, or an internship.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or Ubersuggest.
  • Basic HTML knowledge, enough to read a page’s source and spot problems.
  • Experience with WordPress or Shopify.
  • Google Analytics or SEO certifications (nice, but projects matter more).

What We Value

  • Thinking in outcomes. You care whether traffic turns into leads and sales, not just whether a keyword moved up.
  • Explaining clearly. You can tell a client why their traffic dropped without hiding behind jargon.
  • Ownership. You follow a task through to the end and check that the fix actually worked.
  • Honesty. If you don’t know something, you say so and go find out.

What You’ll Get

  • Hands-on SEO work across SaaS, Fintech, and Healthcare websites from week one.
  • Exposure to how SEO connects with content, web development, and paid marketing.
  • Mentorship from a team with 14+ years of building and marketing products.
  • A clear path to grow into an SEO Specialist, a technical SEO role, or a broader growth marketing role.
